User interfaces should strike a balance between function and emotion—practical yet inspiring. They ought to spark curiosity, ignite imagination, and make interaction enjoyable. Data visualization, in particular, should unfold like a story, guiding users while keeping their curiosity alive. Biggest challenge of many UIs is forgetting that.
MY APPROACH
I leverage the full potential of micro-animations to communicate information effectively. Techniques like parallax scrolling, hand-drawn character animation or AI micro-animation simulating 3D environments, for example, provide a natural sequential flow that enhances storytelling.
